Art directed shoot for an original story concept centered around identity and the act of changing one’s appearance. Designed spread of story in spring 2023 issue of the University of Oregon's fashion and lifestyle magazine, "Align".

Conceptualized a story pitch centered around the magazine's spring 2023 issue theme, "press play". Curated mood boards communicating the art direction, styling and setting to the photographer. Selected models and executed art direction on-site with the photographer and models.
CONCEPT
A shoot about pressing play on that change in your appearance that you’ve been daydreaming about making but can’t seem to bite the bullet on. I will convey this story through imagery of friends cutting and dying each other’s hair. The images will convey the radiant happiness that shines through when we embrace our true selves and have fun with our appearances. Settings will include feminine and raw bedrooms and bathrooms of homes. This setting will cultivate the impulsive playful nature of changing your appearance in the comfort of your own home with the company of your friends.
